Eligibility – What we do and do not fund

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a registered charity or non-profit organisation in England and Wales with the Charity Commission.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the Foundation’s mission and priorities.
  • Must have been registered with the charity commission for more than 12 months, with one full year’s (audited) accounts available.

What we fund:

  • Charitable activities and projects involved with children, elderly and palliative care.
  • New projects
  • Existing projects   

We do not fund:

  • Projects which have already taken place or items purchased prior to or during a grant application
  • Costs for social business (e.g. CICs) which are not directly linked to charitable activity
  • Requests to build reserves
  • Commercial sponsorship
  • Building projects including renovation and repair
  • Camping equipment
  • Delivery of services which are statutory obligations
  • Requests for funding that involve a selective process ie Political activities, restrictive memberships, racial selection or religious bias.
  • Residential trips unless they form part of a clear programme which involves interventions before and after the trip to embed impact.
  • Animal welfare projects (we can consider charities utilising animals for therapeutic support for children and elderly)
  • Individuals
  • For profit businesses
  • Projects for management / data systems
